Introduction
Sequestered away in the headquarters of NASGO (short for the "North American Supernatural Governing Organization"), an artifact is at work scribbling down the names of children as their discover their supernatural abilities. There's a whole department of NASGO dedicated to tracking down the people to whom these names belong- but that part isn't important. What matters is that halfway through the school year, a letter is sent to the school office, notifying the student that they've been invited to Nascha Chee Academy, a boarding school in Minnesota just a ways away from the Canadian border. Sometimes the parents aren't happy, and a representative has to reason with them, convince them to allow the student to attend the school.

At the school, the new students are herded into the Central Hall, where they're given an introduction to the school. There's the normal high school things, yes; they receive their schedules for the year, they're assigned dorm rooms, they get a tour of the school. But students are also told why they were sent to the school: there are other students like them, with strange powers and strange mutations that appear around puberty. It's a school for supernatural students to learn about themselves and their powers, a school that introduces them to the supernatural world and others like them.

History
Nascha Chee Academy was established seventy years prior to the present, named after Nascha Chee, a prominent dragon that served as the Chancellor of NASGO at the time of the school's founding. Its founding was a subject of hot debate at the time, with many people concerned that it could be conspicuous to have so many supernaturals together at the same place. The school was founded regardless, built in a somewhat remote area thirty minutes from the nearest city. The school originally had only the offices, one dorm building, and a small building with a few classrooms that later became the Student Use Building. It took students from both Canada and the United States, and was equipped to handle students that spoke either English or French. Several buildings were added to the school over time, including large sports facilities. Over time, the school became very important politically to NASGO, seeing as every adult supernatural from North America had attended the school. A number of the bills and laws passed by the Supernatural Congress governed the activities and finances of the school. Despite the school's importance and the amount of news attention it received, the school was widely considered one of the safest places for supernaturals, with only occasional fights between students that are typical in high schools.

In-Character School Rules

1. Violence is not tolerated in any way, shape, or form. Any incidents of fighting are punishable by two to seven days of in-school suspension with a counselor in the office.

2. Students are expected to be respectful of the property of the school, the staff, and the their fellow students. Stealing and vandalism are unacceptable and will be punished appropriately depending on the severity of the infraction.

3. Students are expected to be at class promptly and prepared for class. Tardiness and unpreparedness is to be dealt with by teachers as they find appropriate.

4. Students are expected to be respectful towards each other, the staff, and guests to the school. After a verbal warning, punishment will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

5. Students are only allowed to access the North American Supernatural Internet Network (known popularly as "the Underweb") unrestricted. Any and all content submitted to the normal internet will be moderated by school Information Technology workers in order to ensure that no sensitive information is released.

6. Students are not permitted to leave school without supervision from a qualified adult, such as a teacher or security guard.

7. Students are not permitted to harass any of the school's horses, or interfere with them while they are working.

8. Vampires are not permitted to take blood from other people without permission. With permission, vampires must assure that they are in the presence of a staff member or qualified medical professional before feeding from another person.

9. Shapeshifters, dragons, and unicorns are not permitted to shapeshift in areas that are too small for their alternate form.

10. During school hours, female students must wear tops with shoulder straps at least one inch thick, and that are not excessively low-cut at the chest. Any skirts or dresses must go to at least the knee. For both males and females, shorts must cover the buttocks with at least two inches of fabric to spare. Males must wear shirts. After the school day, there are no restrictions on dress except that students cannot be naked in public areas of the school.

11. Students must wear the appropriate athletic uniforms when using the athletic areas of the school during school hours or school functions.

12. All of a student's classes must be attended each day, except in cases of excused absences, such as illness.

13. Students must not abuse their supernatural abilities to the detriment of the school or their fellow students.

14. All students must be in their dorms by 10 PM on school nights, and 12 PM on weekends, breaks, and school holidays. Students must remain in their dorms until at least 6:30 AM in the mornings. There are exceptions to both of these rules for school-approved functions.

School Map

Notes: The entire school is surrounded by forest. The main entrance is a road near the entrance. Just beyond the entrance, out of the way of the road, is a parking lot with trucks and a few other official school buildings. These vehicles are mostly used for transporting large amounts of people- most people leave the school on horseback, using trails through the forest that begin near the Equestrian Area. The Arena is located north of the school, in the wooded area just beyond the Central Hall and academic buildings.

Dorm Rooms

1. There are two different dorm buildings: the West Dorms and the East Dorms (pictured in the school map a post above). Females live in the West Dorms, while males leave in the East Dorms. Each dorm building has four floors, with three of the four floors housing two grades each. The first floor is thearea where the Dorm Managers and building kitchens are located.

2. Students keep the same dorm room each year.

3. Dorm rooms are about 25 by 25 feet, with 625 feet of living space. This does not include the bathroom, which is about 15 by 7 feet large including the shower.

4. Everybody has their own personal dorm room. Dorm rooms are not equipped to handle more than one person.

5. Each dorm room comes equipped with a bed, a wardrobe, a table, and a desk with a computer. The bed comes with a plain red, green, or blue comforter, and the wardrobe is completely empty. Students are responsible for supplying their own clothes and bedsheets (although financial aid is available in the office).

6. The shelves in the bathroom come filled with necessities, including soap and toilet paper for both genders as well as any products that females may need. If these necessities run out, a student can request for them to be restocked by filling out a form detailing the required products.

7. Students are allowed to bring their own items to furnish their dorm rooms. These can either be sent by mail by the student's family, purchased online and delivered to the school, or purchased in person from Sikaya City. Large items, like televisions or dressers, must be approved the the Dorm Manager or a teacher before they can be placed in the dorm room.

8. Food is sent up to the dorms through a mechanic system located in a corner of the dorm rooms. To use this, a student fills out a form that is then sent down a hatch and arrives in the dorm's kitchen. The food is then prepared and sent back up through a food delivery device for the student to pick up. In the case of a malfunction with this system, the student must go to the first floor and get their food in person. Students can also opt to get their food on the first floor or in the Central Hall any day regardless of malfunction.

9. Students cannot enter the other gender's dorm building without being accompanied by a member of the opposite sex.

10. Students cannot enter another student's dorm room without the permission of the room's occupant.

11. Each floor of the dorm room has a common area, with a large television and a few couches. These areas are intended as a place for students to relax in. Students can freely move between each floor's common area without restrictions.

12. The student curfew applies to the dorm building specifically; students must be in a dorm room between 10 PM and 6:30 AM. The room does not necessarily have to belong to the student, but they must have permission to be in there.

13. Dorm rooms have both stairs and elevators. Most students tend to use the elevators to get from floor to floor, but the stairs are still available for anyone who wants to use them.

13th and 14th Grade

Unlike normal high schools, Nascha Chee also has a 13th and 14th grade, roughly equivalent to the first two years of college. Unlike college, students are required to remain at school for these two years. These classes have a heavy focus on real world skills rather than the academic classes that the first four grades at Nascha Chee center around. Like in previous grades, there are also classes that focus on supernatural-natural specific subjects. However, there are also classes that teach skills like managing finances and public speaking. Students also meet with counselors that can help them pick a college, and that can help them with financial aid programs for college. Full scholarships are available to students through NASGO, but to apply, they need to send in an essay about a topic relevant to the supernatural community, selected by NASGO each year. Students only need to attend college for two years after finishing school at Nascha Chee, because 13th and 14th grade count for the first two years of college. There are no supernatural-exclusive colleges, so all students from Nascha Chee go to normal colleges that any human would go to.

(You cannot create a 13th or 14th grade student; however, you can create a student in a lower grade that eventually ends up in 13th or 14th grade as the school year goes on. This is so you cannot create a character and have them graduate only a few months after you create them. If you character graduates from the 14th grade, but you still want to play them, you have a few options; for example, you can have a character skip college and become a security guard at the school. You could send a character off to college and then bring them back in two years as a teacher, or have a security guard take college classes online and eventually become a teacher. The Yearly Schedule: An Overview

Nascha Chee begins class on the first Friday of August, and gets out the second Friday each June. Throughout the school year, there are four breaks: Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break. For all of these breaks, students can either choose to stay at school or go home; see below for more details. The first Friday of school serves as an orientation for the freshman. Freshman and the older grades alike have the first weekend of school to become comfortable with the campus, and the schedules are given out on the following Monday. Classes begin on Tuesday. Staff and students, similarly, get the first two days back from Winter Break to readjust to the campus. Final exams take place the second-to-last week of school, and classes are shorter during the very last week to give students time to pack and prepare for the summer. Each year, students take both an individual final exam for each of their classes (created by their teacher), in addition to an exam created by the school that tests everything they've learned from each subject.

Daily Schedule

6:30 AM: Students are allowed to leave their dorms. Breakfast is served in the Central Hall.

8:30 AM: Students are expected to be in their first period class.

9:45 AM: Students are expected to be in their second period class.

11:00 AM: Students are expected to be in their third period class.

12:15 AM: Lunch begins, students have 45 minutes to eat and wander the campus.

1:00 PM: Students are expected to be in their fourth period class.

2:15 PM: Students are expected to be in their fifth period class.

3:30 PM: Class ends, and students are do whatever they wish on the campus.

5:30 PM: Dinner is served in the dorm buildings and Central Hall.

10:00 PM: Curfew, students are expected to be in their dorm rooms (unless they have a school-sanctioned function, like clubs or a sport).

On weekends, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at the same times as on the weekdays; however, there is no class. In addition, the curfew is 12 AM (midnight) instead of 10 PM. Due to its nature as a boarding school, Nascha Chee does not give homework, so the time from 3:30 to 9 is truly free for students to do as they wish. Most extracurricular activities such as sports or clubs take place during this time period, and if they cut into class, students will be excused from those classes to participate.

Thanksgiving/Spring Break

For both Thanksgiving and Spring Break, students have a week off from classes. Students are permitted to go home to their family for either of these two weeks. If a student qualifies for financial aid, the school will pay half of the travel expenses, allowing the student to go home for one of the two breaks if their family pays the rest. The student will have to pick one of the two breaks that they wish to go home for (they cannot go for both Thanksgiving and Spring if they use financial aid). If a student's family pays for the travel expenses, the student can go on both breaks if they so wish. Students can also choose to stay at school during these two breaks, during which they will have the same schedule as weekends. During Thanksgiving Break, a feast will be provided on Thanksgiving Day. Arts and crafts programs are offered, and teachers will be available to escort students down to Sikaya City at any point during the day. Television will also be playing in the Central Hall and Student Use Rooms; the staff do their best to ensure that students have fun during Thanksgiving Break. If a student stays during Spring Break, teachers will be available to help students with their finals. Equestrian programs will be offered during the day, allowing students to compete against each other on horse back. Every day, bet The swimming pool will be open all day for students, and like with Thanksgiving Break, television will be playing in the Central Hall and Student Use Rooms. Halfway through the week, the school will order pizza from local pizzerias in Sikaya City for all the students remaining at the school. Spring Break ends with the Spring Dance, which is essentially a nighttime party for the students.

Winter Break

Winter Break begins the second Friday of December, and ends the first Wednesday of January, lasting for approximately two and a half weeks. If a student qualifies for financial aid, the school is willing to pay half of the travel expenses to allow the student to go home. Like with Thanksgiving and Spring Break, students have the option to stay at school over the break. If a student decides to stay, they will be asked at the beginning of the break to fill out a wishlist of items, in order of preference. The school will try to get as many of these items as possible, with a budget of $50 per student, and will present them to students in a wrapped box on Christmas Day, along with a card and a winter jacket. The school staff will also deliver presents that were sent to a student by mail, and runs a school Secret Santa that runs from the start of the break to two days before Christmas. It tends to snow during the winter, so it's not uncommon for students- especially those who don't come from areas with snow- to play games in the snow and enjoy themselves. Like with Thanksgiving and Spring Break, television is always available to students in the Central Hall and Student Use Rooms. There are also arts and crafts in the library, and many clubs run events during Winter Break.

Summer Break

Students are permitted to stay at school during Summer Break, although the school is willing to pay half of a student's travel expenses for them to go back home (if they apply for financial aid). Activities during Summer Break are much more structured than activities during any of the other breaks. Every Monday and Wednesday, trail rides are scheduled, where students can ride through the forests on the school's horses. Every Tuesday and Thursday, hiking is scheduled along a few of the forest's trails. Organizes games of Capture the Flag are scheduled on Fridays, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in the Arena. Every day, the school's various sports facilities are open and supervised by staff members. On the weekends, movies play in the student use room. Twice during the summer, students can either go on an overnight camping trip into the woods around the school, or stay at the school for a pizza party. Halfway through the summer, students have the option of going on a three-day all expenses paid trip to the Minneapolis area, seeing tourist attractions and going to areas such as the Minnesota Zoo. A feast is held a few days before students begin arriving for the school year, to celebrate the summer.
