Student Application Template:
Student Application Explanation:
Full Name: Your character's first, middle (if applicable) and last name. Their legal name that would appear on a birth certificate. (This should also be the title of the application thread.)
Gender: Whether they are male or female. If the character is transgender, note the gender they were assigned at birth in addition to their gender identity.
Age: How old they are. Freshman are generally 14-15, Sophmores are 15-16, Juniors are 16-17, Seniors are 17-18.
Species: What supernatural species they are: shapeshifter, silvan, unicorn, dragon, naiad, or vampire. Look in the Handbook for information about them if needed.
Grade: Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, or Senior, just like in high school (equivalent to 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade). Nascha Chee also has a 13th and 14th grade, equivalent to the first two years of high school, but the oldest character you can create is a senior so the character doesn't graduate so soon after being created.
Physical Description:
At least 1-2 paragraphs about what your character looks like. Feel free to go into detail about their hair color, skin color, distinctive markings/scars, build, height, attire, etc, whatever you'd like. (You don't have to touch on all those subjects, however.) Keep in mind the physical traits of their species when writing their description. DO NOT INCLUDE A PICTURE.
Birthday: The month and day that they were born. Keep in mind their age.
Hometown: The city they were born in. If you don't want to pick a specific city, feel free to just list a state/province/territory.
History:
At least 2-3 paragraphs, preferably more, about the backstory of your character. If you have trouble thinking of things, keep in mind their parents, the schools they went to, how they discovered their abilities, how they reacted to them. Make sure to touch on their reaction to the invitation to their school, and their time at the school so far.
Anything Else: Anything else you want to add. Notes about your character, comments about the site. You can even add other details about your character, anything from their likes/dislikes to their sexual orientation. Whatever you can think of.
Your OOC Name: What you'd like to be called out of character, like in the cbox.
Examples:
Catalina Dominguez and Grace Powell.
Both of these applications are absolutely fine, although there are some differences between them. Note how both of the applications use the character's full name as the title. In addition, Grace's application goes in detail about the various traits that Grace has because she is a silvan, while Catalina's application describes her unicorn form. Unicorns, dragons, and shapeshifters should detail the physical appearance of their other form, as is done in Catalina's application. Any supernaturals that experience physical changes (keep in mind that only silvans, naiads, and vampires will always experience physical changes, and the changes that vampires always experience are subtle- all other species have the option, but it's not a requirement) should have it detailed in the physical appearance section, as in Grace's application. For the history, you can type as much as you'd want, but please ensure that you touch on key points relevant to the site setting, such as the invitation to the school and the discovery of their supernatural nature. While Catalina's profile includes a lot of other points unrelated to the roleplay, and goes more in-depth about these points, Grace's is much shorter and also touches on these points. It just shows that length doesn't matter so much as content.
